As Director Sales & Marketing at CSi palletising, Alphons is responsible for the global sales and marketing activities. He leads a team of 28 colleagues around the world, shaping the company’s strategic commercial and marketing direction and translating it into concrete actions.
What is the most important skill you have developed at CSi?
“What I’ve developed further at CSi is a broader global perspective. Because we operate worldwide, it’s essential to understand the market dynamics in all the regions where we’re active, plus recognize the growth potential of newer markets for CSi. Another important learning has been the value of collaboration across all disciplines in the company. Sales might be on the frontline with customer contact, but we depend heavily on working closely with e.g. Operations, Product Management, Purchasing, and HR. Effective collaboration is what truly drives success.
What makes this particular role at this company so enjoyable?
“First, the incredible customer portfolio that CSi has built over 60 years. We’re privileged to work with some of the world’s largest and most respected FMCG companies. Plus, the truly international character of our work. We deliver complex projects all over the world and across different industries, that makes it a very rewarding environment to work in. Now that we’re part of the Mpac Group, we’ve gained new opportunities to collaborate and grow together. On a personal level, I also appreciate that CSi is a company with a solid social structure, one that genuinely looks after its employees.”
How does your work contribute to the larger company mission?
“All projects start at the Sales department. The team acts as a bridge between the market and the organization. It’s our responsibility to translate what’s happening with our customers and in the wider industry back into the company, so that all departments can respond effectively. That’s how we, as a team, contribute to our shared goals. A key objective is to continue growing our business by offering more solutions to more global and local players in more FMCG segments, all around the world.”
How do you reflect on 2025, and what are your expectations for 2026?
“End-of-line automation remains a high priority for many manufacturers. Its importance continues to grow across more regions. While 2025 in a global context has been a challenging year, we can look back with satisfaction. We’ve delivered our solutions to more new customers in newer markets. As a team we’ve grown, and our integration within the Mpac Group has already resulted in tangible growth. All this gives me confidence for 2026, as we continue to realize our ambitious plans for expansion of our solutions, customers and geographic markets.”
